As-salamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullah,
Last week, Imam Suhaib was the invited keynote speaker at Temple Israel’s annual Shabbat Tzedek (“Sabbath of Justice”). Hundreds of our ISBCC community members joined in the celebration in remembrance of Martin Luther King Jr., and it was a special moment of community building with our Jewish sisters and brothers. We thank Temple Israel for having us be a part of the wonderful event! The Sabbath was a great reminder of the legacy that Martin Luther King Jr. left behind which signified the importance of unity and loving one another regardless of our differences. Imam Suhaib’s speech was a powerful reminder of having the courage to grow and allowing ourselves to forgive each other.
Please check out the Boston Globe’s article on the event as well as the entire Sabbath service and Imam Suhaib’s speech at the links below!
